Acropolis Museum
The highly acknowledged New Acropolis Museum designed by Bernard Tschumi's architectural team applied our owned quarry Black Edessa (Evenos) marble in the circulation pathways of the visitors as well as in the interior part of the flooring of the main museum restaurant.
The antique brushed finish selected for this application offered antiquity required by the most dramatic museum that hosts the architecture of democracy.
Some of the most cultural white marble heads or miniature statues are placed in an Edessa Black Marble Podium display letting the contrast to enhance the significant historical findings.
The plainness sensation of the pure black Greek marble stimulated the architectural team for its wide application within the Museum floorings and restrooms.
